This is a 100% cotton 40 wt 3ply thread that was designed by Aurifil especially for quilting and to cope with high speed of quilting and for those using long arm machines. I just have white and dove grey at the moment but can get other colours subject to demand. There is 3000metres (3250 yards) on a spool of this thread. It is 3 ply and has been specially designed for quilting. It comes on a cone so for those of you who have an ordinary machine you may need a thread adapter to hold the cone.
